Solar‑powered water‑pumping system for irrigation.
1. Configuration – Two-legged solar panel stand (tilted frame) supports 3 × 580W photovoltaic panels that drive a submersible 1.5hp stainless steel impeller pump for a borehole. The pump lifts water to fill a 5,000‑litre storage tank used for irrigation. 2. Security – The solar panels are fixed securely on the stand to prevent theft, often with anti‑theft brackets or anchored mounting. 3. Additional information – Proper hydraulic design is required to match the pump’s head (pressure) and flow rate with the elevation and distance between the borehole and the 5,000L tank, ensuring the tank fills within the available solar irradiance hours. Monitoring solar irradiance and using a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) controller can optimise pump performance( intelligent controller) 4.

Marondera 250mm Irrigation Mainline Project – Marondera, Zimbabwe (October 2025)
Installing a 250 mm diameter irrigation mainline of the irrigation water supply system. 1. Trench excavation – a linear cut has been made in the soil to accommodate the mainline. 2. Pipe laying – a 250 mm nominal diameter PVC/UPVC mainline pipe is being positioned in the trench for the irrigation system. 3. Backfilling & compaction – workers are covering the pipe with excavated material and compacting the soil to secure the line and prevent displacement. 4. Water distribution – the mainline will convey water to a 12ha pivot‑irrigated command area, feeding a central pivot damming system for agricultural irrigation. 5. Project timeline – This is slated as an October 2025 construction project, separate from other pipeline works.
Erection of 4-Legged Elevated Tank Stand for 5000L Capacity Tank, Midlands, November 2025
Scope: Design, fabrication, and installation of a robust elevated tank stand utilizing a 4-legged configuration to support a 5000L capacity tank. Methodology: 1. Pre-construction Activities: - Conduct a thorough site survey and geotechnical assessment to inform foundation design. - Obtain necessary permits and approvals from local authorities. - Mobilize equipment and personnel to site. 2. Site Preparation: - Clear and grub the site. - Excavate and level the area to receive foundations. 3. Foundation Works: - Design and cast reinforced concrete pad foundations for each leg, incorporating anchor bolts. - Allow foundations to cure to specified strength. 4. Structural Steel Fabrication & Installation: - Fabricate steel legs and bracing components in accordance with design drawings. - Erect and level the 4-legged stand, securing to foundations via anchor bolts. - Install cross-bracing and stiffening elements. 5. Tank Installation: - Position and secure the 5000L tank on the elevated stand. - Connect inlet/outlet piping and instrumentation as required. 6. Testing & Commissioning: - Conduct load testing and stability checks. - Hydro-test the tank for leaks. - Commission the system.
Midlands Borehole Irrigation Mainline Project – Midlands, Zimbabwe (November 2025)
Mainline excavation for an irrigation water supply system that will draw water from a borehole. The setup involves: 1. Trenching—a long, narrow trench has been dug in the red soil to lay the main water pipeline. 2. Pipeline—blue PVC pipes (110 mm) are placed in the trench to carry water from the borehole to the irrigation field. 3. Borehole connection—the pipe at the far end of the trench leads toward a borehole (not shown), which will pump groundwater into the mainline. 4. Irrigation purpose – The water will be distributed through the mainline to supply an agricultural field for crop irrigation, supporting the Midlands project scheduled for November 2025.
